Technology with a Social Purpose in Latin America

Latin America faces a deep digital divide, reflected in unequal access to technology and in the quality of education between urban and rural areas, as well as across socioeconomic levels. Many institutions with limited resources lack the infrastructure and digital tools needed to prepare their students for the challenges of the 21st century.

Aware of this reality, Phidias has been integrating Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into its corporate culture for more than two decades. Together with Passion for what it does, Respect and Closeness, this commitment is an essential part of its identity.

In line with this purpose, Phidias offers its school management software free of charge to schools and educational foundations, contributing to sustainable development and collective well-being through technology.

Pillars of Phidias' CSR

  1. Access to technology: Phidias gives low-income institutions access to its platform, enabling them to modernize their management and improve the quality of the education they provide.
  2. Training and development: Beyond the software, Phidias supports school leaders, teachers and students through training processes that ensure the tool is used effectively. Technology only transforms when people understand it and make it their own.
  3. Educational equity: By narrowing the digital divide, Phidias promotes equal opportunities. This allows more students to acquire the skills they need to participate actively in society and in the workplace of the future.

A commitment that builds trust among schools in Colombia

In the Latin American education landscape, principals look for solutions that streamline school management while also creating social value. In this context, Phidias stands out not only for its technology, but for its vision of purpose-driven digital inclusion.

Thanks to this program, several foundations and low-income schools have been able to improve their academic management, strengthen communication with families and provide closer support to their students. Small steps that translate into major progress for entire school communities.

School Communities Benefiting from Phidias' CSR Program

Since the launch of its Corporate Social Responsibility program, more than 2,500 students from different institutions in Colombia have been able to access the Phidias digital ecosystem at no cost.
They are joined by nearly 200 teachers and school leaders who have strengthened their teaching and administrative processes through digital management, as well as more than 3,000 families who now enjoy closer, more efficient communication with their schools.

Together, these communities are a tangible example of how technology can be an instrument of equity and inclusion in Latin American education.

Looking to the future

Phidias will continue to expand its social impact, with the goal of reaching more school communities across Latin America. Its aim is to establish itself not only as a technology company, but as a committed partner for more equitable and connected education.

“Technology can be a powerful force for building a fairer, more equitable society. Our work seeks to drive the digital transformation of schools by offering a robust academic system that promotes inclusion and enhances the quality of education.”

Juan Sebastián Cortés, CEO and Co-Founder of Phidias
